Outdoor Top Rope Essentials

THB ฿4,995.00
  • Duration: 12 Hours

Take your first steps climbing outdoors while learning belaying, setting up anchors, and cleaning climbs.

This full-day course teaches all the essential skills necessary to transition to outdoor top-rope climbing. Even if you are an experienced indoor climber, the jump outdoors can be intimidating. Despite this feeling, top rope climbing is one of the safest adventure activities if you are properly prepared.

Through this course, you will become confident in the correct ways to safely climb on your own. We will teach you how to identify which crags are accessible for top rope, set up rope anchors without the need to lead climb, and retrieve all your gear safely at the end of the day.

What climbing experience do I need for this course?

The prerequisite courses for Outdoor Top Rope Essentials include either the Intro to Rock Climbing Course (Chiang Mai Rock Climbing Adventure) or Basic Wall Safety Course. If you have not taken either of these courses, you must demonstrate your knowledge of essential knots and PBUS belaying for top-rope climbing.

This course is designed for beginner or intermediate climbers who want to transition safely to outdoor rock climbing.
