Explore the highlights of Crazy Horse Buttress crag and learn about outdoor climbing essentials.

Our Intro to Rock Climbing course (also known as the Chiang Mai Rock Climbing Adventure) is designed to be a fun yet informative day of outdoor climbing at Crazy Horse Buttress.

During this course, we won't just take you climbing; we will teach you what goes into top-rope climbing. Top-rope climbing is the easiest, simplest, and safest way to climb as long as you know what you are doing. To ensure you leave this course as a responsible and knowledgeable climber, we will spend the day developing your fundamental skills relating to outdoor climbing.

In the morning, we will introduce climbing mechanisms and belaying techniques for outdoor top-rope climbing. During this session, you will have lots of opportunities to climb routes and apply the skills you just learned.

After lunch, you will continue to practice top-rope climbing and belaying. Our AMGA trained instructors will be there with you every step of the way to help you create a solid foundation from which you can continue your progression in rock climbing. After plenty of climbing, you will end the day by rappelling into the Anxiety State Crisis Cave.
