Multi Pitch Self Rescue

You hope it doesn't happen to you but if it does... It's best to be prepared. Take a multi-pitch self-rescue course and be ready for incidents that happen when you are a few pitches up. Who knows you just might save somebody's life.
In this course, you will learn how to perform self-rescue techniques in a multi-pitch setting. Some typical scenarios might include.
- Climber gets hurt more than 1 pitch off the ground and cannot get down by themself.
- Baseline
- Hauling Systems
- Ascending
- Tandem Rappel
- Counter balance rappel/pickoff
- Spider lanyard
***All participants must have previous multi-pitch climbing experience and must be familiar with climbing knots and hitches, know how to use a GriGri, plaquette device, and prussic, and must feel comfortable using climbing equipment.
Duration of Courses
All courses are run on a daily basis. Itineraries are not set in stone and can be adjusted according to a client's needs. A sample itinerary is as follows:
08.00 - 08.15: Arrive CMRCA and receive equipment
08.30 - 10.30: Transport to activity
09.45 - 12.30: Morning Climbing Session
12.30 - 13.30: Lunch
13.30 - 16.00: Afternoon Rappelling Session
16.00 - 18.00: Return to CMRCA
