Base Managed Self Rescue

You hope it doesn't happen to you but if it does... It's best to be prepared. Take a base managed self rescue course and be ready for incidents that happen a the base of a climb. Who knows you just might save somebody's life.
In this course you will learn how to perform self rescue techniques in a base managed climbing site. Some typical scenarios might include.
- When a belayer gets hurt and you need to get them off belay quickly.
- When a climber gets hurt and you need to go up to assist them.
- When a climber gets hurt and you need to go up to assist them but the belayer is inexperienced in self rescue.
- When a beginner climber is too scared to get lowered from the top of the climb and will not let go of the rock.

***All participants must have previous climbing experience and must be familiar with climbing knots and hitches, know how to use a GriGri and must feel comfortable using climbing equipment.
Duration of Courses
All courses are run on a daily basis. Itineraries are not set in stone and can be adjusted according to a clients needs. A sample itinerary is as follows:
08.00 - 08.15: Arrive CMRCA and receive equipment
08.30 - 10.30: Transport to activity site
09.45 - 12.30: Morning Climbing Session
12.30 - 13.30: Lunch
13.30 - 16.00: Afternoon Rappelling Session
16.00 - 18.00: Return to CMRCA
