Communication with Singapore American International School has given us the following insights about the program:



  1. The main objective of the program is to complete the Adventurous Journey piece of the NYAA at the Silver level. 

  2. The NYAA Silver Award trip will run on March 2-5, 2017. It will include two nights of camping, one and a half days of hiking, and one day of rock climbing and rappelling.

  3. For the trekking portions of the Adventurous Journeys, students will be using topographic maps and compasses to lead the navigation, with the adults following. They can be on a trail, but there should be limited if any signage or other directional information. They will not be allowed to use any electronic means of navigation. 

  4. For the other Adventurous Journey activities, the participants will actively participate in planning and training for their expedition. The goal is to provide participants with the opportunity to learn more about the wider environment, as well as to develop their self-confidence, teamwork, and health. 

Payment & Cancellation Policy: 

Our standard cancellation policy is 50% deposit to hold the dates, staffing, and logistics (due January 16th)
The remaining 50% is due on January 30th. 

20% of the overall cost of the program is nonrefundable. 

Up to 80% can be refunded by or before 30 days before the program begins (January 31st)
